Today I am showing you all the Moyou-London Sci-Fi Collection Plate 06. I wasn't overly keen on the rest of the plates in this collection but I knew I HAD to have this one. I love motherboard designs, and this plate is perfect for that. Below you can see the video I posted on YT a couple of hours ago, and at the end of it, you can see a preview of the manicure I did using two images from this plate. I will be back with a separate post for it.

Hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to subscribe to my YT-Channel for upcoming videos.
Have a great day.

EmOzean

Today I have for you swatches and some nail art with my newest franken polish. Actually I wasn't the one that made this franken, it was my boyfriend. I created a franken that day, and my bf thought I should use another polish to mix in with NYC - Bowery Black, so I had to mix another polish. You can see my creation here.
My bf decided to call this polish for EmOzean, and he used the colour of my eyes as inspiration.
I like how he played up "Emotion" and "Ozean" in the polish name... clever, I see what you did there.

First I started out with Sinful Color - Snow Me White as base colour. I used two coats of that, then proceeded to add some circular stickers and painted EmOzean over. I finished off with some black striper.

EmOzean was created mixing NYC- Bowery Black, Beyu - 377 (blue shimmer) and Depend - 245 (pastel blue)

Have you ever had a male (boy)friend suggest a franken for you?

Dandelion Me Lucky

I have made a beautiful and soft manicure for today. It features a new stamping plate from Bornprettystore, a new polish: Barry M Silk - Meadow, and an old polish: Essie - Turquoise and Caicos.

I received the stamping plate as a part of the "lucky bag" from Bornprettystore, by following the link you can read more about my haul from Bornprettystore. Stamping plate is called SE20.  I feel a little bad about using this plate, as it does not exist anywhere on the Bornprettystore site. Maybe it has been discontinued or something. How knows.

SE20

The back of the plate.
The plate has no backing, but I cut out a piece of cardboard and gave it one. It had really sharp edges and  I cut my finger when getting the plate out of the envelope.

Now that we have all seen the plate, let's move on to the nails

I started out with 3 coats of Essie - Turquoise & Caicos, then I added one coat of Barry M - Silk - Meadow, on all but one nail to create an accent.

Fun fact: Dandelions are often a symbol of happy unions and good fortune.

Spring is definitely here, this manicure shows that even I am starting to feel it.

Decorating my Helmer

Hey everyone.
I have been dying to do something with my Helmer. It's a boring grey colour, and it's just sitting there, asking to be as pretty as what it's holding. My nail polish collection. It was about time it got a makeover.

My very messy desk before the makeover.

I have been wondering what to do with it for a long time. First I was thinking about getting a primer and some paint, and just paint it. Maybe change the handles, or something.
I was out in town just snooping around and I came across this amazing craft store. Its run by a young girl (and I mean really young) and what I suspect to be her mum. They mainly do card-making and scrap-booking. So you can imagine the selection in papers.
I had no idea! Being a secretary I know my stuff when it comes to paper for printing, and business cards, but this was just beyond what I had expected.
I must have spent a good hour in there trying to find something to decorate my Helmer with.

I ended up with two different sheets of paper. One with a green design and one with a deep pink design.
120 gsm. The pack came with 5 sheets of each design, and ended up at £ 1.47.
Each sheet was enough for two drawers. I used PVA glue and a large brush, and just stuck the sheet on the drawer and used a sharp knife to go around the edges to make sure it fit perfectly to each drawer. This saved me from having to do loads of measurements, and I don't have a ruler.

I really love how this turned out, and by how easy it was to do. If I want to change this at any point, i just need to remove the paper, and start over again. So I could change it to a winter motive, for Christmas, etc.
What do you think? Do you like it, and have you done something similar to your Helmer? Let me know in the comments below.

What my nail place looks like now

I love candles, and when I found this dusky lilac candle-holder I had to have it. I really like the low mirror, it allows me to see, from more angles, how my nails are looking while working on them. In the center there, you can see my stamper and scrapers all gathered up, I am working on a comparison post/video.

Bornprettystore - haul

I have another haul post for you all. I purchased a couple of things from Bornprettystore. I had been eyeing a a nail polish removed pump for a while, and finally decided which one to get. There where a lot of different ones to choose from, not just from this site, but all over the webz.
I have had dealing with Bornprettystore previously, so I decided to go with them.
I actually ordered this pump last year, but the parcel never arrived, and Bornprettystore Costumer Service agreed to send the parcel again, and that one never turned up either. I don't blame them, I was in the middle of moving and might have missed the parcel-note from the postoffice. It was nice of them to send it again.
Now, with a new address and new country I wasn't gonna take any chances and when I sent my order I asked for tracking. 2 weeks later, the parcel was on my door.

It came in a recycled bubble wrapping envelop, and was marked as FRAGILE. It's been on a long journey, and it was in perfect condition when it arrived.

I was intrigued by the "Lucky Bags" so added one with various nail art items in it.
In my "lucky bag" I got a stamping plate, nail stickers and nail charms with the Chanel logo in pearls. Not really my thing but i payed $ 0.99 for it all, an I got nieces that loves getting my "hand-me-downs", and that are starting to understand the importance if having pretty nails (they just reached their teens). I will definitely test out the stamping plate.

My "Lucky Bag" content.

One of the things I really like about Bornprettystore is that you buy something, and get BPS-point for it, then, if you upload photos, videos, reviews, you get more points. More points means more BPS-point to spend on more stuff, which means more points, and more reviews, photos etc.. and so it goes round and round. As long as the products are good, and the price is good, I got no problem with it.

Be careful with the stamping plates, they have scarp edges. I am going to add a backing to it, so I don't cut my fingers again like i did when I opened the box.

I can't describe how happy I am to finally have one of these, cleaning up brushes after nail art, and clean up is going to be so much easier. No more spilling acetone over finished designs and ruin them . I love this little baby.
That was all for today, I will be back with some nail arts using my new toys, and maybe I'll make a tutorial to those water decals too. I hear there is a trick to them. Let's find out together.
