Cult Nails - Enigmatic Seduction

This is suppose to be the last day I am packing. Before I head out in the big world, to live in the UK.
I am actually moving in with a friend of mine, from World Of Warcraft, can you believe it?!
Its so cool!

I decided to take a break in the packing. I feel tired. Almost burned out. The shape of my nails has been really random, and it was about time, I took a break, did my nails, and took care of myself.

Its like I have been on auto-pilot for so long.

A polish that never fails to brighten my mood, and make me feel real, and human again, is Cult Nails polishes. I love the swirly letters on the bottle. I own Enigmatic and Seduction, and I was going to need them both.

Camo camo chameleon

Hi girls.

Lets go Berry, and Blue today!
There has been so much stuff going on in my life the last few weeks. I'm packing all my belongings and moving to the UK. Leaving everything else.
The company I worked for, can't afford to have me anymore, and it's time for a climate change.
So why not the UK? Right?

Today's polish has been making me wanna cry.
Its stained, everything (!)  Sadly its gorgeous as well.

Barry M - Chameleon Blue.

The thing about Chameleon is that once you apply topcoat the color will change. The colors on the cap indicates what color it will change to.

For this, I used Sally Hansen Double Duty as topcoat. I wanted to see if the amount of topcoat made any difference, so I lightly applied it.
And I am actually going to show you both my hands today :)

I had it on for a full day, and when I removed it, the nail was all gross and yellow-y. They almost when in one with my skin tone.
If it was only a basecoat problem, well lets hope. I used OPI Nail Envy.

Depression Awareness Nail Art

Greetings Girls.

Today I want to share with you a manicure I did for Depression Awareness. Usually one would see a Depression Awareness mani, with green in it, cause the Awareness logo is green.

To me, green represents Envy, and there is nothing to Envy when you're Depressed.

It's taken me a while do actually post this. First of all, cause it's very personal, and I wanted to make sure I didn't share too much. I suffer from Depression. I have for a very long time. I don't think I can remember a time where I wasn't. We all have our good and bad days. The last few years I have been luck to have fewer bad days. I don't take any medications for it, seeing my mom eat her pills like candy, kinda put me of. It's a choice I made. There is no right or wrong with Depression.

A few years ago, my mom was at a rehabilitating center, she would paint. Day out and day in. One of the pictures she made was beautiful. We sat in front of it for hours. She would tell me about all the colors she used, and why. That it was her depression, she had painted.
That's why I have chosen to recreate it, in a manicure.

For this manicure I used:
NYX - Matte Baby Pink
Beauty UK - Bon Bon
ESSIE - Aruba Blue
WnW - Tropicalia
Claire's - 152
Savina - Royalty

Come Autumn, Come

Its Fridays!
And that means its time for Cheeky Girls Challenge, starring myself, and Mishka from Lacquer or Leave Her!
Today We are using Cheeky plate CH 33, since its the third week of the challenge.

We picked out the leaf stamp from it, and this is what I created.

I started out with two coats of Jade Stone from Models Own. One of the polishes I got while I was in the UK. I visited the Bottleshop in London. <3
If you get the chance ... GO THERE!
Its lovely.
Kiko store, and Top Shop on the other side of the hall. Everything a girl can dream of.

So pretty. But it makes me wonder if its a dupe, or just closely related to Savina - Royalty, China Glaze - For Audrey, ESSIE - Turquoise & Caicos.. Will have to check that out.

Its Friday, so I added some sparkles. I used Northern Light -INM, two coats.

Very pretty, isn't it? I bumped it on the camera, so its a bit messed up, but I don't mind, cause we are going to stamp over it. For this I wanted to see how good FNUG would stamp.

Very pretty, don't you think? I wasn't sure if I should stop here, or not. But I was too eager to try filling between the lines. I feel that my freehand is getting better. I will post my Depression Awareness mani tomorrow, and you will see what I mean.

What do you think?

Movember - Breast Cancer Awareness

I decided I wanted to do a Breast Cancer Awareness - manicure.
I don't have any personal experience with breast cancer, but my family has a history of Endometrical Cancer.

When I was in the UK, I picked up a few different pinks, cause I didn't really have that many from before. One of the ones I picked up was Barry M - Fuchsia.
I didn't want to go all Fuchsia, so I picked up my NYX Matte Baby Pink.

I actually did two slightly different manicures, see the second at the bottom of this post.

(If you notice some smurf-colors on my fingers, it's just cause the food color-bottle exploded on me)

Then I picked up a dotting tool to make the bow.

I wasn't sure about leaving it like this, so I picked up my Models Own - Mystic Mauve.

Which version did you like the best?

Twinpost: Itty Bitty Monsters

Hello girls.

So this is a fun one. Originally my plan was to make cookies, make a cookie-monster-mani, and have some fun with it. But it felt too classic, and I wanted something fun, childish, and playful.

Todays Cheeky Girl Challenge with Mishka from Lacquer or Leave Her! , is here!
Friday!
Woohoo!
Glugg down some Cider.
Over to the mani again.

CH32.

I took Essie - Mojio Madness, as a base color. Used random stripes with Barry M - Emerald Green, and Depend - 259. With this I created a kind of grass at the tip of my nails, and stamped over with ESSIE - Licorice, and finished with drawing some randoms lines on the pinky, and made a tophat for one of my monsters.
I call em the "Exploring brigade".

I just love his little tophat, I am sure he talks in a deep voice, and has a cane.. hehe

What do you think?

Andrea Fulerton - Rain Fall

So I couldn't wait no longer. I had to try this baby.
Presenting Andrea Fulerton Duo - Rain Fall.

Get ready to be showered in pictures.
And sorry for my mismatching nails.

First up is pictures with 1 coat.

So I added a coat of the flakie, over all of them.
As you can see, my middle finger that just has the flakies on it, has already started to shrink, I might have used 10 min. on pictures at this point. So layering it on its own is out, unless there is a topcoat somewhere that will solve it.

And last let us just take a moment to enjoy the beauty.
If any of you have seen something like this in a full size bottle, please let me know! I freaking love it.
BTW.. is Rain Fall ( the color one) a dupe on ESSIE - Trophy Wife?
Have to check that out..

Sunny Blue Sky

'ello girls.

Today I wanted to do some layering, and I have been looking at my Sunny Blue, from Max Factor, and wanted to add that over a light blue. So why not use the Angelica - Ice Queen, I bought in the UK?
Right?

Lets take a look at that.

I sat down with a cup of tea, and waited for it to dry.

It totally looks light purple-ish on this picture, right? No sunlight, with flash.. Interesting..

Angelica - Ice Queen

Today's post will be about one of the polishes I picked up in Manchester. It seems like it could of needed some shaking, and maybe a drop of thinner. It has a light powder feel.. As if you added eye-shadow to a white polish, kinda-way...

But, if you look away from that, its very pretty. And it matches the blue sky, we had this weekend. Enjoy it while it last girls.
Winter's coming.
