GuestPost - BeginNails

If I am still pregnant when this post goes live, that makes me currently 41 weeks pregnant, and officially overdue with a week. The power is strong in this one, and the waddle even more so.

Today the lovely Kristi is guestposting her wonderful and classy mani.

Greetings and Nailutations!

I'm Kristi from BeginNails and I am super excited to share a mani while Dina is tending to her new addition!

Products used:
Drip Drop Nail Paint: Tighty Whities and Yoga Pants
Lemming Lacquer: This Life Can Turn A Good Girl Bad
Dream Polish: Gem Glam Top Coat (press sample)

I started with base colors of Tighty Whities (white creme) on pointer and ring finger,
This Life Can Turn A Good Girl Bad (red creme) on my middle finger and Yoga Pants (black creme) on my pinky.  After I let them all dry I added a little half moon in black as an accent with a striper and a steady hand.  Then it was all topped by Gem Glam Top Coat.

I was tempted to add more, but I really loved how simple and fun it turned out.

Thanks for reading!  I hope you enjoyed this mani!
Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka BeginNails

Easter Nails - A skittle adventure

Happy Happy Easter.
And here are some happy nails. I started out with 3 coats of pastel yellow, this is Miss Sporty - 453.

I made this manicure using a set of stamping plates.

Index finger: BM 310
Long finger: BM 317
Ring finger: BM 208 and BM 314
Little finger: Mash 45

Stamped using Wet n Wild - Black Creme, as always. Then I took a green nail art pen and dabbed in some jagged lines on the ring finger, and added some more depth to the grass and the egg on the thumb.

Casino Royale

I would call this a gambling Medley, is search for a better word. It's about gambling, and all there is to it. The chips, the slot machines, the dices, and cards, the smokin' ladies, and the money.

For this manicure I used a collection of plates.
Cheeky 31, 39, 55
Bundlemonster 303
Konad m22

Using nothing but 4 colors, I made this.
Sinful Color - Snow Me White
Wet and Wild - Black Creme
NYX - Matte Red
Orly - Viridian Vinyl

I had so much fun with this manicure, and enjoyed my night out trying roulette, and black jack. One thing is for sure, gambling is not my thing, but what do you think about the nail art?

Christmas Medley

I haven't really gotten the Christmas spirit yet. Sadly. Cause I usually love Christmas.
I think ... it's the lack of snow that's doing it.
My little brother got me some tickets back home, so I will be off on Sunday, and heading back home for snow, and winterland. Just how I like it.
I will be spending Christmas with my grandmother, and mother. Can't wait to see them all.

I wanted to make a Christmas Medley manicure.
So I took out all my plates, every single one of them, and sorted out the onces with Christmas-y images. It's a good handful.

I have a few untried polishes as well, a huge box, actually.
Armed with a box of polishes and a handful of plates, I dived into it.

Plates I used for this manicure

Polishes used for this manicure

TopShop - Missile
Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
Claire's - (glitter polish mini )

Missile is such a star polish, I adore it. Such a deep wonderful blue. <3
I loved it as soon as I took the cap of. It looks tamer in the bottle.

2 coats of Missile, then I stamped over using Snow Me White, and added dabs here and there with the glitter.
Sadly, in my eagerness i forgot to take a picture before all the art went on, so I just got a finished design today.

I love, love, love this. I got to make more of these. Even thou I smudged mr.snowman there a little, I still love it.

Twinpost: The 8 Ball

I was still in the car driving this Friday, and its been a super hectic weekend, with my mother staying over here. So I just couldn't find the time to do this post, but here its if, even thou it is somewhat late.

This is a twinpost is a series of posts done with Mishka from Lacquer of Leave Her!. We have a Cheeky Plate Challenge running, every week we post a mani with one of the images from the plates in the set. One plate each week. We are currently on CH 35, and the image we choose from this plate was the 8 -ball.

Mishka did a really cool mani with it, and you can see her creation "Billiards, anyone?" here.

Do you ever have those days when your camera just doesn't want to cooperate with you? I think my hands must have been shaking a bit, cause every single picture I took was slightly blurred. This is the best of them all.

For this manicure I used, Ciate - Speed Dial, Sinful Colors - Snow Me White, WnW - Black Creme, H&M - Lemon Tree.

Retro 80s Mani

I started a twin-challenge with my nailpolish / WoW friend Mishka from Lacquer or Leave Her! .
We decided to call it " Cheeky Girls Challenge", and we are doing one by one plate from the Cheeky set we just got. One image from each plate, one plate per week.

So the first image we are going to to is the Cassette from CH 30. I remember being a young girl having fun, dragging the "tape" out, and taking a pen, and swirl them back in.

My cam stopped working, so I had to borrow another cam, and I had HUGE problems with the lighting. Its been raining for a few days, and its just not working..

So here is what I did.
I drew lines on my nails, and started filling in with colors. I used mostly my new polishes for this, only "old" polish I used was the blue. Its a decent cobolt blue, but I hate the smell of it, I just cant say that enough..

YSL - Bleu Majorelle
Miss Sporty - 452
Claire`s - 152
Barry M - Berry I/C
ESSIE- Mojito Madness

Stamped with WnW Black Creme

To see what Mishka did, head over here, it looks nothing like my " Crayon-puke Cassette -mani (LoL)

Crackle over Grey Skittle

Its been a crazy weekend for me. I had to attend to a seminar few hours away from here. Its actually so far away that I had to take the plain. 1 hour by plain, so that's not so bad.
The plain left at 08am, and its about 1 hour away by train from where I live, so I ended up having to get up at 05 am. Urgh. And I didn't get in bed before 02 pm, cause I was sitting up chatting with friends.

Tired much!

Saturday ended with a trip to the E.R. a friend of mine lost a tooth, and another one got said tooth in his head, and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Thats what you get when geeks plays Laser-Tag.
Overly enthusiastic bunch.

Went back home with the 8 am plain, and had to go for a RPG-session, and make dinner for the RPG-group. (It was my turn). Now its Monday, and I feel like I have been running enough for a week.

Good morning ladies.
This challenge post has taken a while to get out there. But here it is.
I am calling this mani; "Toxic Pink Love". I think you will understand why, in a while.

Summer Challenge - Summer in the Hamptons

When I think of The Hamptons, I think of fashionable ladies in designer outfits, attending theme parties, and playing tennis. I am sure its not like that at all, but I like the idea of it.

The Elitist in my approves.

I was searching for inspiration for it, and I found a dress I liked, the dress is from Stylehive and their "Summer at the Hamptons Dresses"

Sorry for the condition of my cuticles and skin, this week has been hard on them.

STEELSERIES Kana Natus Vincere Edition - mani

Inspired by STEELSERIES Kana Natus Vincere Edition, computer mouse designs I decided to create a manicure (click the link to see the designs).

For this manicure, I used a mixture of two stripers to get the right color of yellow (found out that mixing Lemon Tree - H&M and Neon Melon - Sinful Colors worked as well), a black striper, and ESSIE Licorice.

I posted this manicure on STEELSERIES and NATUS VINCERE FB-page, hope you like it!

Kelp`s in the ocean - mani

I was actually trying to do the Summer Challenge - Sea Shell, but my vision didnt go there today. This is what I created.

For this mani I used, Purple Flash, Fantasy Ocean, and Deep Deep Water from H&M.
A tiny dotting tool to make the swirls on my accent finger, and a black striper pen on the thumb, to create kelp in the green.

My inspiration.

Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter mani

Saturday I went to the movies to see "Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter" ( funny enough there is a Abe Lincoln - Zombie Hunter-movie as well). I asked on FB , for ideas on what to wear. And the answer that came was, well... Abraham Lincoln in profile. With his sharp jawline and distinct nose, I found it an interesting challenge. And here it is.

For this mani, I used Black Creme, by Wet n`Wild, and Snow Me White, by Sinful Colors. A two-way dotting tool, and a few hours.
