H&M - Yellow (banana)
Rimmel - Chic Cherry ( grapes)
L.A. Colors - Current (base color)

You might not see what I had in my mind making this, but even thou, its really pretty.

Summer Challenges Bumblebee

One of the Challenges I haven't done yet, is the Bumblebee.
I missed out on it, because of work, so I decided to do it today.

For this manicure I used ESSIE - Licorice, H&M - Yellow, and a dotting tool.

Summer Challenge Deck Chairs

I am late with this post, I know, but its my NOTD!
I was all out of inspiration for this one, and decided to do it later. I am allowed to do that right?

Its not cheating, right?

For this mani I Googles Deck Chairs, and decided to use this as inspiration.

That looks really comfy.

I grabbed my ESSIE - Licorice and Sinful Color - Snow Me White.
Licorice is a 2-3 coater (grr hate you), and I can easily get away with one coat of Snow Me White (I love it!!) Haha.

May I just say.. I am really happy over how nice my nails are looking. Just need that little finger nail to grow out like the rest of them, and my right hand to catch up with my left hand, then all is good.. :)

STEELSERIES Kana Natus Vincere Edition - mani

Inspired by STEELSERIES Kana Natus Vincere Edition, computer mouse designs I decided to create a manicure (click the link to see the designs).

For this manicure, I used a mixture of two stripers to get the right color of yellow (found out that mixing Lemon Tree - H&M and Neon Melon - Sinful Colors worked as well), a black striper, and ESSIE Licorice.

I posted this manicure on STEELSERIES and NATUS VINCERE FB-page, hope you like it!

Summer Challenge - Buttercups

Todays challenge over at the Purple Crumpets Fairy Challenge, is Buttercups. Yupp, you heard it, Buttercups. Not cups of Butter, but the flowers. And no, not the girl from Power Puff, but it could of been, but not to me. When Power Puff girls where cool, I didn't own a channel that sent it. I lived in a cave, so to say. Haha.
But I have seen a few episodes of it, after I grew older. It`s fun.

I have been asked, " How to you decided what to wear?"
Well. Since this was a challenge, I went to Google Images and searched for Buttercups. I looked at the colours in the flower, the backgrounds, if anyone else had made manis with the same theme, and so on. You might say I use a lot of time on it, but I like researching before doing a "summer challenge mani".
Then I select one or two images that will work as my inspiration. Often these images have specific shades that I want to match.
I look in my collection to find the shades that matches in the image. For this challenge I had a close-up on a buttercup. You could see 4 different yellows in it, that made up the flower. I only had three shades that matched.
Buttercups have often 5 to 7 petals. I decided to go for 5, cause its easy to paint. Then I took a brush and created a star like pattern with Yellow from H&M, 5 petals.
The middle of a buttercup often variate depending on how old it is. The older the brighter the colours. The buttercup image I was working with, was of a young flower. It still had some green in the middle of it. That`s why I picked up Lime, and Lemon Tree, darker shades of Yellow, running towards green.
I used a tiny dotting tool to make the spores in the middle. I used both Lime, and Lemon Tree for this.
To finish it all of, I took the same dotting tool, dipped it in Licorice - ESSIE, and created the edge. I wanted it to be thinner than this, but I kinda rushed it, cause the sun was going down, and I wanted to get a decent picture, before it went all dark.
It still turned out pretty cool, a bit more cartoon esk, that I had planned, but its so cute.

Here are my flowery Buttercups.

I used Linda Johansen as a base for this mani. It took two coats.
For the flowers I used Lime, Lemon Tree, and Yellow, all H&M polishes. A tiny dotting tool for the middle, and, used Licorice from ESSIE for the black outline.

Summer Challenge Independence Day

I happend to have the right  Konad - stamp for this themed mani. The M14.
I wanted to do it cool, but still not having to redo all the nails. So this is my first "recycling mani", I kept the 3 black nails from last night, and painted the two others in white.

So for this mani, I used ESSIE - Licorice, Sinful Color - Snow Me White. I stamped using two images from the M14 konad plate, using H&M - Red Nail, ESSIE - Little Brown Dress ( U.S.A ), and IsaDora - 626 Blue Sky. I could of used a darker blue, but I didn't have a blue that matched.

So I'm still trying to get used to the new camera that I`m borrowing. I swapped the lens, and I am now using a Canon lens, instead of the Sigma lens, that we use when we take pictures of houses. ¨

Don`t mind the paper-cut on my finger, there...

So lets see what we got.

Aegean Tides in black

Hi Girls!
A late post from me here, but  I freaking LOVE this mani. It started out with my wanting to try out some nail foils I got a huge pile of them when I ordered from DollarNailArt.  (blog post about it in the first link).

When I did the Olympic nailart I used one of my striping brushes for the first time, and I felt like I was getting hang of it. So, I got braver, and attempted to use foils as well. I really wanted it to work out, and decided to just to two nails on each hand. And Oh My (!!), It made me so happy.

I figured out how to work with the foils in the end, and picked up my striper brush.

Enough blah blah from me now, you get it... I am so happy I tried.

I`m still trying to learn how to use the fancy-snacy camera from my job, to take pictures of my nails. So I took some pictures using different backgrounds here. The last picture is taken in-front of a painting that my best-friend gave me, I love it.

Olympics themed mani

Imperfectly Painted asked on FB and her blog today, for  Olympics themed manis.
I love an excuse for a themed mani. And as I saw the blog-post, I knew right away what I wanted to do.

I grabbed my Depend 246, H&M Yellow, ESSIE Licorice, L`oreal Green Couture, and Red Nail H&M.

May I just say, that I HATE the brush that comes with ESSIE Licorice. Its so thin, it could be mistaken for a striper, but to thick to be one. Blargh.
