C is for Capitalism

So I wanted to play catch-up on one of the groups I am in. And one of them is an ABC challenge.
So if A is for Anchors, and B is for Bubbles, next up is C.

So why not Capitalism?

(this will also be my E for Economy-manicure)

For this manicure I used Bundlemonster plate BM319. Cheekyplate CH54, and CH55.

Polishes:

Misa - Working Hard, Hardly Working
Misa - Office Polish-tics
ESSIE - Mojito Madness
Savina - Coral
Wet n Wild - Black Creme (stamping)

Misa - Working hard, Hardly working

How you enjoyed this manicure, and if you are wondering where my inspiration comes from.

In the Speed Of Life

So life here in Leominster is good. I like the area, and have been going on long Sunday trips with my Landlord. He is showing me all these fantastic places around here. I'm working on getting a job, and a work desk for my nail art, but for now, its all in boxes.

Lets be a bit crazy shall we?

Today's mani is made using 4 different polishes, a dotting tool, some stamping. I used Bundlemonster plate BM214.

If you ever consider layering/stamping anything over Orange-a-peel from KBShimmer. I would recommend using a topcoat between that, and what-ever goes over. Every time I have tried I have ended up smudging everything, even thou the layer seems dry (30 m - 1 h). Topcoat seems to hold it in place.

This manicure was inspired by my dear friend Mishka. She created this cute manicure stamping over a indie.
Using the same idea with orange, I created this.

Orange-a-peel, index and pinky.

Orange glitter from Claire's, on the two middle fingers

Stamped with BM214 ( had to redo two of my nails here, so i kept them in Speed of Life.

Misa - Chocolate Icing and a dotting tool

And that's it. What do you think?

Makeup Mekka - Remember 79'

It was about time I got into the habit of doing my nails again. I have been missing out a lot, cause of the moving to UK and all, but the worse parts are over.
Last night I tried Makeup Mekka - Remember 79'.

I am so happy that my nubs are starting to grow out, and I am taking as good care of them as I can. I have been trimming my little finger-nail a lot, cause it grows like crazy, while the rest of them don't.

I really like this color here, it was easy to apply, worked well with the brush it came with. Doesn't have a terrible smell to it, quite ordinary as nail polish goes. Covered in two coats.

I couldn't leave it like this, and I debated with myself for a long time, before I decided to get my stickers out to play.

I found a tripod in the computer room, and my landlord let me borrow it to take some pictures. I had a lot of fun testing the tripod out. Felt so pro.

US Nail Mail - From Lacquer or Leave Her!

A while back. When I still lived in Norway, I was on a UK trip, and helped Mishka from Lacquer or Leave Her! get her hands on some UK-polishes.
Today I got a huge package from her, filled with US goodies, and candy.

This will just be a very quick post, it's too dark to get decent pictures, so I will leave you with a sneak preview, and the full post will arrive tomorrow.

First of all, let me thank Mishka so much for doing this for me. You are amazing. When I started blogging I never in the world would believe I would meet someone like you. You are such a good friend. Thank you.

Dupe or No Dupe: Makeup Mekka - Me: Blue Blood vs. YSL - Bleu Majorelle

I recently got my hands on a handful of Makeup Mekka polishes.
One of them looked a lot like YSL - Bleu Majorelle. I wanted to check if they there dupes or not.

Bottle-shots. Yes they do look a lot like each other.

Differences:

YSL - Bleu Majorelle
  • Expensive
  • Terrible smell
  • Bonus for a neat C-brush
  • Comes in a full size bottle
Makeup Mekka - Me: Blue Blood
  • Cheap
  • Comes in a mini bottle
  • Standard brush
  • Does not smell much

Index: Me: Blue Blood, middle finger: Bleu Majorelle, ring finger: Me: Blue Blood, little finger: Bleu Majorelle

Verdict: Dupes
