Sunflowers - Prado Red - manicure

There is one thing that I want to get better at when it comes to nail art.
Freehand

I took my acrylics out for a test. I'm glad I had plenty of time, cause the stuff I was attempting was a bit harder than I thought. So instead of a one stroke manicure, which was what I attempted first. I went for something a bit easier, and did sunflowers.

My favorite sunflower is the Prado Red. I think they are beautiful. Just look at em!

For this manicure I used Savina - Royalty. This was one of my first nail polishes, and I haven't used it for ages. I felt it was time to give it some love.
Since I did this manicure long into the night hours, I do not have steps-to-steps pictures on how this manicure was built.

Savina - Royalty needed 3 thin coats to cover all VNL. I added topcoat over Royalty before I proceeded to the acrylic art. I used a deep red acrylic colour for this manicure and a flat brush. I used a stippling motion with the brush to create the petals. For the seeds I used IsaDora - Winter Rose, and a dotting tool.
I then proceed to the stamping. I used Cheeky - Jumbo plate 3 - European Romance. For stamping polish I used China Glaze - Exotic Encounter. I did a full stamping accent, and isolated some vines on two other nails. This was really tricky, since I wanted the vines to fill in the gaps. I think this was pure luck with how well the stamping came out on the index finger and the ring finger.

What do you girls think? Do you wanna see more nail art like this?

Tri-polish colour blocking

Let's rock
some

colour-block!

For this manicure I used three polishes: Essie - Navigate Her, Essie - Mojito Madness (this was my go-to polish last summer), and China Glaze - Exotic Encounters. For the accent I used both a green and a black striper, rest of them only has the black striper. The original has a matte surface, but I decided to stay bright and happy with this.

I was inspired to do this after seeing a picture of a manicure featured in Teen Vogue, made by Madeline Poole from mpnails.com. See original post here

Back to my creation.

First I applied Essie - Navigate Her, to cover completely it took two coats.

Essie - Navigate Her

I then added tape on the lower half of the nail and used China Glaze - Exotic Encounter on the top part.
The weather has not been the best for taking pictures, but I did my best with these.

For the third step I took a large dotting tool, and added Essie - Mojito Madness on one side. Lastly I made an accent on the ring finger using an emerald green striping polish, and "framed" Essie - Mojito Madness, and then "framed" that again using a black striper. For the rest of the nails I only "framed" using the black striper.

Taken the day after.

Exotic Laces in green

Get ready for something exotic.
This is Exotic Encounters, french tipped with Jolly Holly from China Glaze. Stamped using Bundlemonster plate XXX, with WnW - Black Creme.

Lets take a look at Exotic Encounters, first.

And then for the nail art.

Have a great weekend!

China Glaze - Exotic Encounters

Today I have a swatch of Exotic Encounters to share with you.
I saw it on a blog almost a month ago, and I just HAD to get it.  It was the swatch by The Lacquered Lady, that brought it to my attention.
See her post about it, here.

I love it, and I am so happy that I have it in my collection.

Nail Mail, and a Haul

Hello everyone!
Today I have something fun to show you all, its picture heavy, but its a Nail Mail, and Haul -  post.

Lets start with the Haul!

This is Melina and Vanja from Make Up Store. So pretty... I just love that purple.  Lets take a closer look at both of them. First up is Vanja.

Such a beauty. I Love purple.
Lets take a closer look at Melina.

Shimmery polish. Thats two coats on the swatching wheel there.

Right next to Make Up Store, I found Lush! I was in need of stocking up more Lemon Flutter, before the winter cold is coming. I am still wearing my red, orange, yellow mani, from the summer challenge, and the girl that worked at Lush, Loved them. From now on, they are going to be called Honey-nails.

After I had been shopping, I went to meet a girl that is selling some of her polishes. I have done so before, but she had found more polishes she wanted to get rid of. Lucky me!

These are my first Misa polishes. Here we have:
178 Forbidden Lust
180 Fatal Affair
 171 A Sin Worth Committing

Last but not least. Here is my third Zoya. This is Jo Its a pearl finished light blue. So pretty...

That was the Haul, now lets get over to some Nail Mail.
I bought all of this from NailSupplies.us. Shipping anything but flate rate is insanity, especially when ordering to Norway. So I didn't order as much as I would of liked. For flate rate, they have a max of 9 bottles, but when taxes hit in at everything over 200 NOK / 32 USD / 21 GBP (with todays currency), its tight.

 This is what I bought.

I have been wanting Exotic Encounters since I saw the first swatch of it. And finally its here! YaY.
And look, I got Northern Lights (*sqeel*), and China Glaze - Luxe and Lush (!!), and my first Color Club polish, Alter Ego.
Lets take a look at some bottleshots.

I am really looking forward to try this one out.
Next up is Alter Ego- Color Club.
At the website it looked dark and grey/black- ish, but look at this!

Next is Exotic Encounters. Ever seen I saw the first swatches of the Safari - collection, I knew I had to have this babe. I dont really care for the rest of the collection, this I NEEDED. *giggles*

Woohoo! This polish was the only reason why I choose Nailsupplies. Finally, I have it.

And there was more in my mail today. Another package.

Pretty cool, right?

And that was the end of that fun. Be sure to check in tomorrow, for a new post. Hubby is getting visitors over, so I will have my nail corner for myself, and I have some ideas on what do to.
