Midnight Poppy BM-S102

As I mentioned in my Bundlemonster - Shangri-la plate review, if you were to choose only a few plates from that collection, I would recommend the BM-S102 - Everlasting Sun plate as one of the plates to pick up, as it is very unique, and I have not seen other plates quite like that other places.
The other plate from the collection that I would recommend getting is BM-S109, but I will take a closer look at that in another post.

If you want to see the full review of the Shangri-La set, I have a Youtube video, that you can see by clicking here.

For this manicure I used Barry M - Silk - Poppy, and I did the stamping with China Glaze - Midnight Kiss. I really like China Glaze - Midnight Kiss over, as I think the golden tones in the two play nicely together.

Barry M - Silk . Poppy, stamped using China Glaze - Midnight Kiss and Bundlemonster - Shangri-La - BM-S102 - Everlasting Sun.

Stamping test with Bundlemonster - Shangri-La - BM-S102 - Everlasting Sun.

I wanted to create the image of pointier nails than what I have, so in order to do that, I took some tape and lifted off the tribal section from the stamper head. This left the "sun" part to go on my nails.

It's a very subtle design, and I think it could look really cool with more contrasts as well as the way it looks in this mani.
I am very pleased with the final result, except my dry cuticles which still needs some more TLC now that the weather is getting increasingly colder every day.

Holographic whiteout

I recently got a pop-up lightbox, but haven't set up my lightbox stuff yet, as I am still waiting to get the light sorted. Still daylight enough around these parts to get some decent shots.
So I decided on giving a holo polish a go.

I had gotten my hands on a Nfu-Oh polish. Nfu-Oh-065 actually.
Sky blue holo.

I found it to be streaky, and not at all too my liking. I think I have been spoiled with great A England holographic polishes. Too bad they don't got a sky blue, but they do have a  cerulean blue (sorta the same, right?) so I might need to get that.

Despite the application hiccups and the 4 coats (still showing bald spots darn it)...
I think it looks good.

I even did some stamping over it, but as I used white, it was completely washed out by the holo-ness.
I used the Bundlemonster - Polynesia - BM - XL109, a bird and palm image.
If you want to see my review of the plate, check out this post.

I have been wanting to get my hands on Nfu-Oh polishes for awhile, as I LOVE the bottles, but the experience was not all that awesome.

Nfu-Oh - 065

I suppose this is not really an indie polish, so you will have to excuse me there. There will be plenty of indie polishes on it's way.

HPB Presents: Autumn

HPB is running a blogger-link-up, and the theme is Autumn/Fall.
I know I recently posted about not being ready for summer to be over just yet, but as I just got my Ãœber Chic Beauty - Stamping mat, I thought this would be a great opportunity to test it out.
Make some leaves on it, and fill in. That sort of thing.

Where I live it doesn't look autumn-like at all. The trees are still green, there are still flowers around. I think that's why they call it the Emerald Isle. Haha. So my manicure might look at little too green that what would normally be considered to be a autumn look.

I started out with a coat of clear polish to my Über Chic Beauty - Stamping mat, then I used the leaves from Bundlemonster - Polynesia - BM-XL109. You can read my post about the plate by folloing this link. I I used Barry M - Gelly - Cardamom for that, and filled the leaves in using Barry M - Matte - Mocha. (looking at the ready manicure, this was not a good combination)

I promised you more indie polishes so this time I painted all my nails with Pretty Serious - VT100 that I recently bought.
Looking at it on my nails I think I got a KIKO polish that is a dead on dupe. More on that in another post.

I then took Moyou London - Nature Collection - 07 and stamped some branches on the other nails, using Barry M - Matte - Mocha.

HPB Presents: Autumn. Using Pretty Serious - VT100.

Check out what the other girls did for the HPB theme!

Bundlemonster - Polynesia - BM-XL109

If you are anything like me, you might not be quite ready to give up summer, just yet.
The weather has been great here in Northern Ireland, and I was feeling like doing a review of the Bundlemonster - Polynesia - BM-XL109.

The plate is gorgeous, and is like an image buffet, very fittingly the plate is named Flower Buffet.

You can get the Bundlemonster - Polynesia - BM-XL109  plate over here, at the time of posting this, Bundlemonster is Out Of Stock for this plate.

Make sure that you subscribe to my channel for more stamping plate reviews.
I hope you all enjoy the video I put together, I had a lot of fun making it.

There will be a manicure using this plate, up on the blog this week.

C is for Capitalism

So I wanted to play catch-up on one of the groups I am in. And one of them is an ABC challenge.
So if A is for Anchors, and B is for Bubbles, next up is C.

So why not Capitalism?

(this will also be my E for Economy-manicure)

For this manicure I used Bundlemonster plate BM319. Cheekyplate CH54, and CH55.

Polishes:

Misa - Working Hard, Hardly Working
Misa - Office Polish-tics
ESSIE - Mojito Madness
Savina - Coral
Wet n Wild - Black Creme (stamping)

Misa - Working hard, Hardly working

How you enjoyed this manicure, and if you are wondering where my inspiration comes from.

Exotic Laces in green

Get ready for something exotic.
This is Exotic Encounters, french tipped with Jolly Holly from China Glaze. Stamped using Bundlemonster plate XXX, with WnW - Black Creme.

Lets take a look at Exotic Encounters, first.

And then for the nail art.

Have a great weekend!

Time for Reflection over Tristam

Good morning everyone.
Its time to do some nail art.

Last night I swatched A England - Tristam.

Its sooooo Pretty.
If you don't want to see me totally transform this polish, into something else, don't read any further. There might be tears.

I grabbed my Time for Reflection -  Essence, and did one coat over Tristam.

Wow! No trace of Tristam left. Totally transformed. Do you like it?

I did some nail art over it, I`m not a fan of how it turned out, but here it is anyway. Who knows, you might like it.

I sponged using Mystic Mauve - Models Own. Then I stamped with BM plate 316, in WnW Black Creme.
It might have looked better without the coat of Time for Reflection - Essence.

Girly Dazzle

According to my Google Analytics tool, lot of people have been searching for Savina - Dazzle lately. I decided to do a mani, using Dazzle in a fun and creative way.

I used two coats of Recycle, and one coat of Dazzle over a pink. Using BM plate 303, and a nail art pen that looked like Dazzle in colour, I created this look.

XOXO - to all you beautiful girls out there, this mani is for you.

Bundlemonster 2012, and 2-way nail stripers/pens

I finally got my BM 2012 plates!
The shipping aaaaall the way up to Norway sure takes a while. The plastic box they came in was all smashed up, and the plates where all over the bag. Lucky for me, non of them where ruined.

That wasn`t all that arrived today,  also got my 2-way nail art brushes/pens. Loads of them as well. 60.
(When you count your polishes, do these count as well?)
I got them from Ebay, the Seller was E.beautyshop24, but as fas as I can see, E.beautyshop24, is out of them, but its currently being sold by: 48express-us

First lets take a look at the BM-plates that I loved the most.

It`s just so girly.
I love the lace, and the hearts.
As a secretary this plate spoke to me: Wear me!.
The images in the middle, looks like a Norwegian traditional sweater. Definitely using this for a winter-mani.
Roses!!
The falling frames on the top of this plate, I just loved. Seen some amazing manis with that dolphin as well, gotta love it.

Alright, that gives us an idea on what to use the plates for, now what about the stripers, what do we have in that bag.

That`s a lot of colours. One thing is for sure, I wont be needing more of them. HeHe.

Stamped squares

Lamplight and flash.
Daylight.
The stamp wasn't big enough for my thumb, as you can see. :(

Using  Depend - 228 ( I think, the number is all rubbed out) a nude pink colour as base, and stamped with Bundlemonster plate - 203 with Depend - 188.
I wanted a mani that would match my Luis Vuitton bag, I think I will redo the thumb and maybe make a LV sign.

New Bundlemonster plates

Wow!
Some of you might have heard about this allready, but if you havent, well. your in for a treat.
Bundlemonster has now comed with a new set of plates.

And at first glance I have to say, I am in love with BM- 311. Some amazing roses on BM- 323, BM- 320 has an image that looks like dropping frames, and wow.. I love what Im seeing.

What do you think? Are yopu going to buy them?
Which plate do you think you will be reaching for in the new set?

Kicks, Essie, and BM - Haul

A handful of rhinestones.

Just had to gem my nails and try them out.

Daylight

Lamplight and flash.

Today I got some BM rhinestones, its a handful of ass. There was a sale on Kicks Make Up Nail polishes, so I got myself, Metro Grey and Chalky Mud. From ESSIE I picked up  Lilacism, School Of Hard Rocks, and Bobbing For Baubles,

The picture in lamplight and flash is most accurate with the Kicks polishes, and the picture in Daylight with the ESSIE once.

Neon Melon - Back to Work

I was inspired by Fingers Polish Mania , that does a lot of funky french. The neon marble I did last night, really didn't work out for me. I hated it. Wore it for a couple of hours, and it was like it kept looking at me. Drove me nuts. Don`t get me wrong, it was cool and all, but I wish it was on someone else nails.
Ever had that?

But I wanted to get this Yellow to work for me. So I reached for my BM 225. BM plates are not big enough to cover my thumb, so I decided to make a french with buttons, since I am going to work tomorrow, after having two weeks for vacation.

I used Sinful Colors - Neon Melon (3-4 coats) and Wet N Wild - Black Creme.
What do you think of this combo?
