As a part of Llama Nails Nerd Challenge. First Challenge is: Math.

So I decided to go with the most common aspect of math: Geometric.
Or at least the first thing that springs to my mind when I think math.

I started off with one coat of Bourjois - 24, and did the nail art on my accent nail using Sinful Colors - Snow Me White.

Primark Haul

I have been to Primark in Manchester and I found a couple of things there that they don't have at my local one. Nail -stuff. Oh yeah.
Can't wait to try these out. Gonna be so cool.

14g of beads and a nail polish for £2.50,- not bad.

The polish reminds me of Sally Hansen - Brilliant Blush. Will be interesting to see how it preforms. The guide on the back says to use two coats of it before adding the beads. 

The glitter in this set has white and black bar glitters, and black and white round glitters. To be honest it looks like another "sticks and stones" dupe. I recently bought Maybelline - Chalk Dust, but though I should pick up this one as well, since this has the white bar glitters as well, and not as many different sizes to the other glitters. Worth having both. 

Browsing the wed I could not find a single entry about this set, so I was excited to see how they where going to preform. A swatch will be posted this weekend, so stay tuned. 

The instructions on the back says using 2 coats before adding the glitter polish. 

Neither of the polishes have names, or numbers. 

Green of Envy

I needed something green, for my manicure today. Specially after seeing Mishka's Favorite Green post.

I settled for Sinful Colors - Exotic Green, and added some sparkles with Dancing Queen - Models Own, and finished it all off with some polkadots with Bobbing for Baubles - Essie. 

I am very pleased with Exotic Green. Drying time, and application was like a dream. Just the way it's suppose to be. I hear it's a dupe with China Glaze - Starboard, which was why I picked it with me, when I saw it on the display at Boots.

I'm on a little holiday in Norway at the moment, so blogging have been sparse the last two weeks. I'm back in England on Monday, and will do my nails as soon as I land. I am expecting nail mail, and nail art supplies a plenty in my mailbox, so you girls are in for a treat (!!)

Can't wait to see it all.

Sinful Colors - Kissy

I got my hands on this Sinful Colors polish at Boots in Manchester, while I was on my way on another trip to Norway.
I like the depths it gives, the shimmer is so complex. It's a  blue jelly packed with glass flecks (wouldn't that be the right description?) Shimmers in green-blue to blue. Drying time was a nightmare. I was trying to get it to cover completely but after 4 coats, you can still see some VNL. I think it would be great for layering thou. I haven't tried that.

I have heard some reports on staining with this polish, but it didn't stain my nails much. But then, it never really dried properly on my nails either...

Magic Copper

I wanted to do something unique, something special.
..and it needed to be glitter.

Why glitter?
Well Jess Prosser suggested it on my FB-page , cause I was going away from a couple of days, and needed a durable manicure. So this is what I created.

First of I started with two coats of Wet and Wild - Black Creme, my ESSIE - Licorice seems to be missing in action. I prefer using the ESSIE one for these kind of things, and save my Wet and Wild for stamping. Oh well.

Then I grabbed Accessorize - Magic. I choose that polish cause it was the first glitter polish I used on this blog, you can see that post here.It has micro glitters and small hex glitters. In different lighting you will be able to see that it picks up color variation from dark purple to bright pink. Its chunky, and pretty much a full coverage glitter. As all the Accessorize glitters from their 3D collection was ( this is the only one I picked up).

This step is also where all the fun started. For I wasn't happy with just doing a coat of that, and be done with it. No, I was going to do some heavy duty layering.
I grabbed my Mavala - Copper Glitter. I have had it for ages (before I even started blogging), and never used it, until today.
So I took of as much glitter as possible, and started with an almost "dry" brush with Accessorize - Magic, dabbing was no use, as the coverage was still so thick, but what I could do was do a little bit of Magic, then some Copper Glitter over, since Mavala - Copper Glitter is in a clear polish, it would make the manicure more on the jelly side. In the end, it must have been about 7 carefully places layers of Copper Glitter and Magic. a little bit here, and a little bit there.

I even did an accent, where instead of starting with Magic, I started with Copper Glitter.
As I continued the work, it made me think of Fantasy Fire, more and more. So in a way, this is Max Factor - Fantasy Fire made in glitter.

Feather nails for days you fly high.

Yesterday I posted about my holo-nails, today I did a little twist with them.
I added Jaye Bird from Invogue as an accent.

I have been on the move here and there these past few weeks, I'm getting a tad tired of all the travelling. Every time I'm in Norway I bring with me a "candybag" full of polishes from the UK, to blogger-friend of mine in Norway. Due to all the hassle with Royal Mail, we figured this was the easiest solution. I usually only travel with hand luggage, and I'm allowed the total of 1 liter of fluid with me on-board. I sure use it all.
She was the one that got Invogue on my shopping list. She wanted all the "Suede" ones from the brand, and since she was getting 3 of each of them it emptied the store completely, I wanted to get something else within the same brand. This baby was needing a home. It was the last one of its kind. Slightly dusted in the back. Alone.

I used 3 coats of Make Up Mekka - Siw, and 2 coats of Invogue - Jaye Bird.
It needed a bit moving around to cover completely, as you can see, I still got some bald spots.
I really like how this turned out. I might get some more of those feather polishes.. Might.. Lets see.
