Bring on the NEON

Today I have for you a very cool nail polish.

The company I work with was going to a Summer Resort for the day to relax by the pool and just get to know everyone that works here. It was out in the middle of no-where. Obviously we where excited. There where large iron gates welcoming us (there where lots of mentioning of Hunger Games and similar movies), and when they open up we saw where we would be locked in for the next 10 hours. A small pool, a large party tent with a hired in DJ and a bunch for bartenders/caterers.

I was wearing these awesome looking nails. And now I get to show them to you. since I stressed so much about having them done for the party, I was doing these at 3-4 am, and started at work at 10 am, since I really needed the rest, I decided to take the picture the following day. This picture above was taken at the party. Super Bright. So was my toes, but I will spare you the look of those.

Without further ado, here is Claire's - Dizzy over Sinful Color - Irish Green (neon).

Since I was working with a neon, I started out with one coat of Sinful Color - Snow Me White, then added two-three coats of Sinful Color - Irish Green, and finished off with two coats of Claire's - Dizzy.

How are you incorporating Neon to your summer?

MSMD - Color Blocks

This manicure is inspired by Lovely In Lacquer : Designer Inspired: Kate Spade Color Blocks, and tiny bit inspired by The Nailasaurus Half/Stud/Half which I though was such a cute idea.

 Great bloggers both of them.

For this manicure I started out with one coat of FNUG - Fashion Show, my go-to nude color. I picked up ALL my neons. Which basically means I got all four of them.
My neon collection might be small, but they are good colors. I like them. If I see more neons from Sinful Colors, I'm thinking about getting them, but we will see. This is the third, or fourth manicure using neons.
Savina - Dazzle, Sinful Colors - Neon Melon, Sinful Colors, Irish Green, and Sinful Colors - Summer Peach.

I taped half my nail, colored one part with the neon, leaving the rest in the nude polish, next time I do something like this I will use a white between those two layers to make the neon pop more, as the Neon Melon changed color.
Looking away from that little mishap I am very happy with how this manicure turned out.

To finish of the look, I added studs.

Summer Challenge - Orange and Green

One of the Challenges we recently had in the Crumpet Nail Tarts - FB group, is Orange and Green mani-day.

I started out with three coat of Lemon Tree  from H&M. Took a sponge and dabbed Summer Peach from Sinful Colors over. I used two "coats". Then I took Irish Green from Sinful Colors, and sponged over two times. As a finishing touch, I added wavy french at the very tip.

I have had some questions how I achieve the sponge-look that I also had in my Whiskey Sour mani . So this time, I added a picture of the sponge that I use for this. Just in case its a sponge / using neon - thingy.

Summer Challenge - Jungle mani

So today we are doing jungle mani`s, and I wasn't sure what to do, but I received a  package today with some striping tape and I knew I had to use that.
When I think of jungles, I think of lush green colors, this is what I came up with.
For this mani I used black striping tape, Loreal - 612 Green Couture (tips), and Sinful Colors - Irish Green.

Can I call it a jungle mani?

Check out the other girls nail art for today.

Neon marble

Fingers Polish Mania , has done some really awesome nails using Yellow.

Normally I hate everything Yellow. It was never really a colour I was buddy with, like my love for Blues, or purple.
So I ran out, and got the first yellow polish I could find, only to come home and find out it was a Neon.
But I wasn't going to be afraid of it, and plunged into it, and made a Neon marble.
Truth be told, this is my first marble-nail art. And I think I did pretty well. The clean-up was a mess thou.

For this mani I used: Snow Me White, Cream Pink, Summer Peach, Neon Melon, Irish Green.

What do you think?
Got other tips on how to use Yellow?
