Innsifree - 84

This post has been stuck in my Draft folder for far too long. I wrote the post, and had the pictures and every thing done, but forgotten completely to press "publish". So here it is, the last of my four Innisfree polishes.

This is one of four "Yoghurt" inspired nail polishes from the Innisfree line. Innisfree is a vegan polish, has a pleasant scent, nothing to overpowering. It comes in a milky base with glitters and have a lasting hold. Easy to use, the glitters glides on well. Only reason why I haven't used them since I bought them (almost a year ago), is because of the removal of glitters, it's just not worth it having to soak my nails in acetone and kill my already dry cuticles. So when I got my PVA glue and started using that as a base for glitters, well, needless say, I felt the urge of using these gorgeous polishes ago.

I also added a couple larger blue hex glitters to this manicure to create more depth in the polish and make it stand out more.

To finish it all off, I added a butterfly to each nail. The fimo butterflies came from a set I bought at the 99 p store here in UK.

Sometimes you just want to go vegan. I have been drawn towards some more vegan friendly brands lately, and felt that I should get some proper pictures of the vegan polishes I already got.

I have also been shopping for polishes, a haul post will follow later this month. Can't wait to try them all out, they look gorgeous. One of them is an orange flaky polish, perfect for Halloween is my thoughts.

I never intended to take such a long break from blogging. I moved back to Norway, or I tried at least. Now, almost 2 months later I am still crashing at my friends couch. I had great plans about getting my own flat, and everything, and got majorly distracted by my health and all sorts of other things.

I feel as if I have let you down, by not keeping my blog updated.
That I am missing out on all the fun.

The next four posts will be slightly light coloured polishes. I wanted to start light even if its all outside and I am freezing here as I still with blankets around me and a cup of tea. Herbal tea, cause I managed to get influenza as well. Lucky me. Time to update this blog.

Oh my, Vegan Polish

My father has gone Vegan, and it made me think. I know a great deal about "Veggies" (vegetarians), but not so much about Vegan. I usually have 1 month a year where I commit to a veggie-diet.

A while back I bought Innisfree - polish, a vegan brand. They marketed it as pure vegan, and I thought it was kinda cool. Specially since I don't know much about vegan stuff.

I`m going to visit my father next weekend, and thought it was best not to bring any polishes with me to re-do my nails while I`m there. He wouldn`t agree to it, and I respect that. His house, his rules.

So I spoke to the girls in Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge and they could tell me, that a lot of brands actually ARE vegan, even thou they don't market themselves as vegan.

Summer Challenge - Ice Cream Sundae

I just got 4 polishes from "innisfree" in the mail. They are vegan, and have no bad chemicals in them, and no Smell (!), I bought them on Ebay.

The summer challenge for Ice Cream Sundae was a while ago, but I worked overtime that day so I didn't get a chance to do them, so here they are! They remind me of ice cream, and they look so yummy I had to go and get some sprinkle ice cream.

This is a two coats of 81, and there is still VNL, so I think this would be better for layering over other polishes. Will do one tomorrow.

I broke all my nails on the right hand, while packing our office. We are getting a new office in august. Cant wait. Its so exciting.

Its a good opportunity to test my Sally Hansen - Maximum Growth.
