Field Marigolds

This is a belated twinpost with Mishka. It's from the Cheeky (Summer Collection) CH44 plate.
The image we choose looks like marigolds to me, so I had to go for something yellow.

This is not like me at all, I don't have that many yellows, and I hardly use them. It must be the Easter-feel coming over me. Funny enough. So did Mishka. So this twinpost will be featuring the same stamping plate, and both are using yellow. How cool is that?!

For this manicure I used Miss Sporty - 453. A pastel-y yellow.
I used 3 coats, as the first 2 coats went on a bit streaky.

I have decided to go back to keeping my nails short. As I am mountain hiking and climbing 1-2 times a week, they then to get in the way of a good grip, and breaking them while on the top of a mountain, is just not the way to go.

I was trying to find some pretty yellow flowers for this post while hiking over Craven Arms, and I came over these.

But you didn't come here to look at flowers. Let's have a look at the manicure. I used Kicks MakeUp Nail Polish - Metro Gray. Here it is! To see what Mishka did with the image, you can find here manicure by clicking here.

Space Invaders Twinpost

I am a huge fan of Arcade games. Space Invaders was one of the first games I played, on console.
Nintendo.
I even have a Nintendo keychain. Nerdy? 'Ell yeah!

When the time came around to do Cheeky plate CH45, I knew what to do. Girl, have I been waiting for this plate. Feel the 8-bit love!!

I used Wet N Wild -Black Creme as background, and stamped using Sinful Color - Snow Me White.
For ring- and little finger I used Two Way Striper- and Nail Art Pens in red and white.  To create the "A" and "B" buttons on the controller for Nintendo.
In he-insight I should have made the red dots bigger...

To see what Mishka did the same plate, head over here.

Easter Nails - A skittle adventure

Happy Happy Easter.
And here are some happy nails. I started out with 3 coats of pastel yellow, this is Miss Sporty - 453.

I made this manicure using a set of stamping plates.

Index finger: BM 310
Long finger: BM 317
Ring finger: BM 208 and BM 314
Little finger: Mash 45

Stamped using Wet n Wild - Black Creme, as always. Then I took a green nail art pen and dabbed in some jagged lines on the ring finger, and added some more depth to the grass and the egg on the thumb.

Easter Nails

Let's get ready with some Easter Nails.
I decided to do some Easter nail, cause I have all these great plates with images that would be great for Easter, and if I don't use them now, when?
Right?

I started out with 3 coats of Miss Sporty - 453. I went googling around to see if anyone had used this polish before, and came back with surprisingly few results. So I decided that it was time. The world need more pastel yellows. This might not be your favorite yellow, but it's a yellow, and deserve some Easter happiness.
.. and it was the best yellow I could find in my stash.

Note to self: Get the perfect pastel Yellow.

Any takers?

I stamped using Bundlemonster, and ended up using BM 322, using MakeupMekka - Strawberry Daiquiri.

Happiness is having Welsh friends

Its Friday, at that means another manicure using the Cheeky plates.
Me and Mishka from Lacquer or Leave Her! is working our way around the plates, and proving how awesome the plates are. Often we get the plates, and we might use 1 or 2 plates before we go out and slurge on another set.
We are using one plate week, picking one image. You get to see two different manicures using the same image. Today we are using a miniature picture from the CH 43 ; sheep.

To set us up in the right mood, here are some pictures of some sheep.
I took these pictures on a trip to see Stokesay Castle, not far from here.

Now, lets get back to some nail art, shall we?

I live pretty close to Wales, and I have heard this saying several times:
"Happiness is having Welsh friends".
Often with a picture of some sheep jumping in the sky of happiness.

I started out with 3 coats of Linda Johansen - Calypso.
Using Cheeky plate, CH36, and CH43.
Using Sinful Color - Snow Me White, and Angelica - Ice Queen.

Violet Beauregarde - inspired manicure

Violet Beauregarde, also known as the "blueberry girl" in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
I decided to go for the Original movies when doing this manicure. After all. It's the first. Pictures at the bottom of this post.

This movie is from the inflation scene.

I had been asked to do a tutorial on this nail art, so here it is:

Hope you liked it :)

MSMD manicure with Love

Good morning readers!
It's Monday, and today I have been invited to a neighbor town, for a birthday party. I was told to get up early in the morning, and drive into town. Excited to see what the day will bring.
This is a Monkey See, Monkey Do (MSMD) of a manicure The Crumpet did for valentines.

I used NYX - Matte baby pink, Sinful Color - Snow me White, and Barielle- Katalicious.
Stamped using BM 317, BM 311 and Mash 48

Added roses and thingies (brain can't remember what they are called), using BM 323.

I'm squaring at you

Hi girls.

It's Sunday, and it's cloudy outside. I really wanted to shoot a video this weekend, and try that out, but the weather has not been my friend. The forecast says it will brighten up later today, so I'm crossing my fingers for that.
Even thou the sun isn't showing it's pretty face, I decided to put some sunshine on my nails. Here is Kiko Holographic 400.

May the fork, be with you.

TGIF!

This week has been oh so stressful. It's just been one of "those" weeks, where everything seems wrong and hard. Today has been a lot better, and I was very excited cause its Friday, and that means Cheeky Girl Challenge with Mishka from Lacquer or Leave Her!

Today we are stamping using Cheeky plate CH42 with the cutlery image. Fork, spoons and knifes, the chicken always cluck twice...
(erhhm) maybe not. Trying to be funny there.

Lets get over to some nail art shall we, and ignore my attempt to be funny. Cause it wasn't really.

I used two coats of Kicks - Metro Grey, and stamped using H&M - Red Nail.

Strawberry Daiquiri - Nail Art

By layering Strawberry Daiquiri from MakeupMekka, and Sunny Pink - Mac Factor I created this manicure, to lighten up my mood.
It's been a rough few days lately. Trying to find your roots in another country is not like a walk in the garden picking berries. It's hard. I don't know many people here, and a rather shy person. And the people I do know ... well, it seems like I have had a tendency to alienate people more than making new friends lately.
One step back, look at what I am doing. Up again, and let's try another approach.

It all starts with a manicure that will cheer you up.
