Linda Johansen - Aqua Rock

Swatch time!

Lets have a look at this baby I found at the airport.
Aqua Rock.

Linda Johansen polishes are all toxin free, with no formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP.

I wanted to make some art with it, and added some lines and dots. What do you think?

KIKO 373 Golden Brown

Today its time for a Kiko swatch, don't you think?

I choose this cause it had golden shimmer in it, and I was excited to find out what it was like on the nails. Sadly, I couldn't see much of the golden shimmer once it was applied. I know its there, but meh. Not what I was hoping for.

Casino Royale

I would call this a gambling Medley, is search for a better word. It's about gambling, and all there is to it. The chips, the slot machines, the dices, and cards, the smokin' ladies, and the money.

For this manicure I used a collection of plates.
Cheeky 31, 39, 55
Bundlemonster 303
Konad m22

Using nothing but 4 colors, I made this.
Sinful Color - Snow Me White
Wet and Wild - Black Creme
NYX - Matte Red
Orly - Viridian Vinyl

I had so much fun with this manicure, and enjoyed my night out trying roulette, and black jack. One thing is for sure, gambling is not my thing, but what do you think about the nail art?

Christmas Medley

I haven't really gotten the Christmas spirit yet. Sadly. Cause I usually love Christmas.
I think ... it's the lack of snow that's doing it.
My little brother got me some tickets back home, so I will be off on Sunday, and heading back home for snow, and winterland. Just how I like it.
I will be spending Christmas with my grandmother, and mother. Can't wait to see them all.

I wanted to make a Christmas Medley manicure.
So I took out all my plates, every single one of them, and sorted out the onces with Christmas-y images. It's a good handful.

I have a few untried polishes as well, a huge box, actually.
Armed with a box of polishes and a handful of plates, I dived into it.

Plates I used for this manicure

Bundlemonster 323
Bundlemonster 318

Polishes used for this manicure

TopShop - Missile
Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
Claire's - (glitter polish mini )

Missile is such a star polish, I adore it. Such a deep wonderful blue. <3
I loved it as soon as I took the cap of. It looks tamer in the bottle.

2 coats of Missile, then I stamped over using Snow Me White, and added dabs here and there with the glitter.
Sadly, in my eagerness i forgot to take a picture before all the art went on, so I just got a finished design today.

I love, love, love this. I got to make more of these. Even thou I smudged mr.snowman there a little, I still love it.

China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

To spice up the holiday spirit I have been listening to Christmas FM radio channel all day, and got a nice and Christmas-y ruby red manicure.

That's right. Ruby Pumps.
Gosh, I feel sexy wearing this.

I am currently sitting in a hotel room in Dublin, Ireland. A guildie of mine was going here to do a job for a company and asked me to join him. It's been a lot of fun.  I have been out sightseeing, while he was off to work, and have seen almost everything that there is to see. The Christmas shopping is crazy over here, so I haven't gone shopping for anything.

Let's take a look at my nails shall we?

MSMD: Christmas Bling

Inspired by Lacquer or Leave Her! manicure last week called Christmas Bling. I created this mani.

Sorry for the tip-wear, I wore this for a day before I got to take pictures of it.

Look at those glitters!!!

And as of my dating life, I am sure you are waiting for an update?

Back to the nails. Aren't they lovely? the rhinestones I used are 2 mm, and I'm guessing the one Mishka used are 1 mm or 1.5 mm, so I used only one rhinestone for each nail, but I love the look.
I should get some different sizes rhinestones as well. The kit I bought are from Bundlemonster, so if you are looking for a good starting set, they have some great ones.

Twinpost: Blow blow up my Blowfish?

This time its CH38, and a blowfish image.
I have to say, this is the funnies I have done so far. I love it.
and I got to try my BO stamping polish from BornPrettyStore.

For this manicure I used:
BO - Olive Green (13)
H&M - Fantasy Ocean
Sinful Color - See you soon
Misa - Toxic Seduction

Forgot to take a picture of the background, sadly.
First I started out with a layer of Toxic Seduction, sponged a bit of Fantasy Ocean, and See you Soon over, to create depth to the background. Then I stamped over using Olive Green.

For those of you, who are interested in how things are going with dating and stuff. Well.

Got this on my door.

Don't forget to see what Miskha, from Lacquer or Leave Her! did with the image. You can see her post using the same plate as I did, over here.

I is for Incognito

This is the manicure I made for my date this weekend.
I wanted something subtle, yet pretty. Classy, but not over the top, when it came to nail art, and still not a normal french.

Funny enough. This manicure reminds me of a dice-set I have for RPG's. Its the same shimmer in it.

For this manicure I used Depend French manicure set, for the white tips, and Misa - Candy Girl as base coat. I used two coats of that.

Bahamian Tides

I just got back from a date in Cardiff with a guildie of mine. We had a lot of fun, watching "The Guild", talking about everything and nothing. Hiding inside from the terrible cold nights we had while I was there.

And

I have been invited to a second date. So I must have done something good.

I have been itching to get back to doing my nails, cause they have been neglected for a few days now.
First of all, they need a good soak, and some good filing.

Lets do some foil again.
It's actually a while ago since I had this manicure on, but it was forgotten among a load of other pictures from my trip to the UK, way before I moved here and all. My nails where crazy-long back then. (!!)

H is for Halloween

I know its a late post to make. Specially since Christmas is so close.
But, since I haven't made any Halloween manicures this year, this will be mine.

For this manicure I used Orly- Purple Pleather, and Max Factor Fantasy Fire.
Purple Pleather covers in two coats.

Playing catchup on my ABC challenge from Llama Nails.

I am your Girl Next Door

I have been in the UK for a good month now. I have dodged away flirtatious men, and girls ( yupp, had a few of them as well), since I got here. Maybe I am the "Girl Next Door". But it feels odd to be flirted with, after so many years of being in a relationship. It's a new journey.
After 7 years of being in a relationship with someone ( Relationship 1: 3 years, Relationship 2: 4 years) with only 3 weeks break between them. It's safe to say, this is new to me.

So far I have had an in-game ( World Of Warcraft) date with a guildie, a "date" by txt (with the same guildie), various suggestions, flirty comments, and "I want you to be the mother of my future kids" (!!).

So with all this on my mind, I grabbed Misa- Girl Next Door. And wore it on it's own.
(wow, that's really deep ms.secretary, really deep)

I think this would be even better layered over another polish, or even for a french.
I think I had 3-4 coats here...

Where I had my, by-txt-date

After all that thinking, you just need to relax with a good cup  of chai.

Twinpost: I'll be wearing my Flip Flops

YaY! Its Friday!!

This weeks Cheeky Girl Challenge, we are doing CH37. The image we selected was the Flip Flops.
Shoot me now.
I hated this image.
It didn't stamp well for me, at all.

But after a few hours of banging my head against the wall, I managed to get it to look somewhat decent.

I used Misa - Working hard, hardly working
Makeup Mekka - Strawberry Daiquiri
Makeup Mekka - Green and Tonic
Depend - 124

G is for Green

Here is another festive Christmas-y manicure.
Todays manicure is for the ABC challenge at Llama Nails (FB)  . My G is for Green. Yeah I know, kinda obvious.

May I just pause for a moment, and say ...wow... I love this.

Sunlight w/flash

Indoors

and then I did something I'm not very proud of. I added Barielle - Elle's Spell over the green. Its denser that I thought it was. My bad.

Lets see if we can fix it / make it work, non the less.

What do you think? Maybe Elle's Spell wasn't such a bad idea after all...

F is for Festive

We are getting closer and closer to Christmas, there is no denying it.
And since I'm still determined to play catchup on the ABC Challenge over at Llama Nails, my F will be for Festive, and kinda Christmas-y, without being overly so.

For this manicure I used red rhinestones, and Orly - Flagstone Rush.
Working hard on trying out all the polishes I got from US. This polish is gorgeous. Metallic shimmer, and with the added rhinestones, it would make for a wonderful Christmas manicure.

The rhinestone on my index finger slid a little there.. so will have to redo them...
Be sure to check out what the other girls did with their F-manicures.

D is for Dailies

So I am all in The World Of Warcraft today. And when I was wondering what to do for my ABC challenge next, it sure had to be something related to my game.

Dailies.

For those of you whom are not in the know:
Dailies are different from ordinary quests cause they can be repeated, over and over again, but only once a day, while as quests are a once in a life time event.
This will give you reputation with the faction/clan of the person you do the quests for.
This can give you mounts/gear/ or other fun/useful stuff in-game.

Me and one mount I acquired from doing dailies.

For this manicure I used Cheeky plate CH48.
Orly - Viridian Vinyl
Makeup Mekka - Remember 79'

Look! It matches my teapot!

normal light

w/ Flash

Heavily cloudy that day, but at least this get the color right.

Everywhere I see, I see dailies!!

Barielle - Katalicious

I wanted to try out Katalicious from Barielle.
It looks so gorgeous in the bottle, and I was just dying to try it out.
The coppery red goes perfect for autumn.

Then I decided to stamp with my new MASH plates. I decided to go for swirlies, and picked out MASH 45. I wanted a subtle stamp, and used Barielle - Blackened Bleu.

It reminds me of a pattern I found in a book about "Designs through history".

Isn't it gorgeous?
