A England - Two for French

Today I was to show you a manicure I tested out.
I am sure you have heard of Saran Wrap Nail Art. I wanted to give it a go, and decided to use Tristam, and Morgan Le Fay from A England.

I started out with one coat of Morgan Le Fay, its a milky white holo, comes on very sheer. I left it dry for a while and added another coat. I don't have picture of this step, sadly.

I grabbed some plastic wrapping, and added some Tristam. And french tips in Tristam.
This is my first attempt on this, but I think the finishing result was very good, even thou its very sheer.

Coral it Asian

I just adore my coral nails, I have been toying with the idea of putting black hex glitters to it, and pretend its the sun with sunspots. But I found out that I am all out of black hexes (don't understand where they have gone..) I didnt want to paint any, so I decided to go Asian.

As you might remember from yesterdays post I started out with Savina - Coral as my base.

Then I added Make Up Store - Melina to all nails.

Then I grabbed my black striper, and went for it. Doing tiny strokes at the time, and carefully place it on my nails, and with swift motion, make a line.

I am very pleased with the result.
What do you think?

Savina - Coral meets Melina - Make Up Store

Good evening ladies.

As you might have noticed, I have made a site on this page, called Sharing is Caring , it contains a form you can fill out if you, come across/ make some beautiful manicures you want to show me. (EDIT: Deleted)

Today I thought I should show you some coral-love. It finally stopped raining all the time today, and I suddenly found myself in some need of some summer on my nails.
I bought Melina a few days ago from Make Up Store, and felt like that was just the colour i needed.
Lets take a look at it.

So the question is, can it be build to full opacity?
Lets test that out.
I started out painting almost all my nails with Savina - Coral, but my ringfinger. Not the smartes move, consider the image. Uncool. Very uncool. Sorry about that.
Savina - Coral is a very nice color, great formula, and this is two coats, so it covers well.

Then I started building Melina on the ringfinger, coat by coat. The rest if the fingers all got one coat of Melina.

At this stage the ringfinger now has 6, (!!) coats of Melina. So if you where wondering... Dont bother, find another coral shade or orange to put under it, its not worth the time. Melina has long dry time, and the more coats, the longer it took.
Even with fast drying topcoat it was long drying time. So stick to one coat over another polish.

But its stunning over the coral. I really like this polish.

Chim Chim Cher-ee

This mani just makes me really happy. And its not nail art (!). Its something far easier, and straight, than that. Its just two polished over one another.

So I started out with FNUG - Bandana. This is how it looks like.

I just adore this blue shade, its very pretty, and it wears well on my fair complection.
Then I decided to pair it with A England - Morgan Le Fay.

And don't ask me why, but this made me hum on "Chim Chim Cher-ee", thus the name of the post.
(*feels very clever*)

It must be the British-feel I get when reaching for A England polishes, and the fact that I live on the top floor, and all I can see are chimney-tops from my window. And I do love the view.

So here is the song, if you have forgotten it. Dick van Dyke is so good in Mary Poppins.

Models Own - Gold Rush

Just a few days ago I received Models Own polishes I had ordered.
One of the polishes I bought, was Gold Rush.
It being Olympics and all I felt it was time to show it.

I feel like some of the Models Own polishes has a strange smell to it, but as soon as the polish dries, I cant feel it anymore. So it doesn't bother me as much.

It applies very smooth, and I am rather fond of the formula. Its easy to work with.
Here I will show it with two coats, but I would suggest the use of three coats for full coverage.

FNUG - Bandana

Hi girls!
Today I have another swatch of FNUG polish. Today I decided to try Bandana.
Bandana is a dusty blue shade, which I adore.
Here is a bottle shot of it.

I won it on FNUG`s FB page ( <--- link to FNUGs FB page ), and they sent me 6 bottles of my selection. You can read about that, and see what colors I picked here ( <--- link to my blog post ).

Take a look at this!

Will you Bandana up?

Nail Mail x2

Greetings ladies.

Today I have another haul for you, and I am sure you must be thinking, good gracious, how much money does that girl spend on polish.. HeHe. Or you might not wonder at all..

Todays Nail Mail, is from Models Own, and A England.

Such a smart packaging, don`t you think?  You just push the box out.

It even says Models Own on the wrapping paper.

Models Own:
Purple Blue Beetle Juice
Gold Rush
Indian Ocean
Mystic Mauve
Aqua Violet

A England:
Elaine
Morgan Le Fay
Tristam
Lady Of The Lake

Now the question is, which one to use first..?

Color Club - Alter Ego

As you might have seen from my latest haul post, I bought Color Club - Alter Ego.
Its a gold, purple, almost a duo chrome shimmer.
Its from the Keep It Undercover Collection 2011, spring.
I can definitely see myself try to stamp over this, this fall, but to me, this isn't a spring shade.
I bought it from Nailsupplies.

Its so pretty, and its also my first Color Club polish. So lets take a look at it, as a full mani.

So pretty. Don`t you think?
I could not keep my hands off it, and made a french using WnW Black Creme.

Dressed in a plain grey office dress, these nails are a hit!
What way would you wear it?

Make Up Store - Vanja

As you saw in my latest haul post, I purchased two Make Up Store - polishes.
And I have a swatch for you.

I bought this cause I love purples, and I don't have that many shades of purple. Before this one, I had Lilacism from ESSIE, which is a pastel, and Lilac Lace from MaxFactor, that I have worn a lot. As you understand, I was in dire need of more.

This shade is killing me with awesomeness.
Vanja is a deep purple with red undertones. In some light-settings it looks like there is some blue in this as well.

I snatched it at sale 40% off, in a store, but you can get them online, over here. <- link to online store.

Misa - Forbidden Lust

I bought three Misa shades from a forum-buddy of mine. Here is the first I just HAD to try. It was asking to be worn. Seriously.

This is one coat. So pretty! I think this will look very good with black french tips, or worn alone, like this. its so pretty.

178 - Forbidden Lust is from the 2008 Poisoned Passion Collection, a shimmer-y purple.

FNUG Love Chic - gradient

Hi everyone. So I just got 6 polishes from FNUG, I won them on their FB.  (<- FNUG FB page)
I did this mani using sponge. Mostly, cause I had so much fun doing the "Honey"-mani, and the colours that I picked looked like they where made for gradient.

So lets take a look, shall we?

FNUG - Love Chic
There we have our base colour.
Then I picked up a tiny piece of a make-up sponge, and took Clogs, and dabbed it over Love Chic, halfway up. It dried really fast, so when I was done with all ten fingers I could just go ahead and sponge with Runaway. I used Runaway only on the tip, to make a sharp finish.
While I was working it was hard to tell where the colors started and ended, but as soon as the topcoat came one, it was like magic. Made them all pop.

And this was the finishing result.

I felt like it was a bit to bright, in the sense that its hard to see whats going on and wanted to see how it worked with Rimmel Matte.
Kinda cool, actually. I can totally see myself wearing these shades alone with a MATTE topcoat.
Great for fall, and it has been feeling like fall around here lately, so I just love this.

Here you see the three shades I used for this mani.
What do you think?

FNUG polishes

Today I recived my present from FNUG. I won these polishes from FNUGs FB.
They arrived in this really cute packaging.

Here you can see ( in no particular order):
Bandana
ClogLove chicBoot CutFashion ShowRunaway

Will do swatches of all of them, as soon as I can. Cant wait to see how they wear, and apply.

Pinky Brown Beetle Juice

Here is one of the Models Own polishes that I bought a while ago. Will try to swatch the other one, this week. Lovely colour, and I love that it changes depending on the light it gets.

Very party-colour, and will look stunning with a dark red dress with shimmer, or...
did someone say ruby red shoes?

Nail Mail, and a Haul

Hello everyone!
Today I have something fun to show you all, its picture heavy, but its a Nail Mail, and Haul -  post.

Lets start with the Haul!

This is Melina and Vanja from Make Up Store. So pretty... I just love that purple.  Lets take a closer look at both of them. First up is Vanja.

Such a beauty. I Love purple.
Lets take a closer look at Melina.

Shimmery polish. Thats two coats on the swatching wheel there.

Right next to Make Up Store, I found Lush! I was in need of stocking up more Lemon Flutter, before the winter cold is coming. I am still wearing my red, orange, yellow mani, from the summer challenge, and the girl that worked at Lush, Loved them. From now on, they are going to be called Honey-nails.

After I had been shopping, I went to meet a girl that is selling some of her polishes. I have done so before, but she had found more polishes she wanted to get rid of. Lucky me!

These are my first Misa polishes. Here we have:
178 Forbidden Lust
180 Fatal Affair
 171 A Sin Worth Committing

Last but not least. Here is my third Zoya. This is Jo Its a pearl finished light blue. So pretty...

That was the Haul, now lets get over to some Nail Mail.
I bought all of this from NailSupplies.us. Shipping anything but flate rate is insanity, especially when ordering to Norway. So I didn't order as much as I would of liked. For flate rate, they have a max of 9 bottles, but when taxes hit in at everything over 200 NOK / 32 USD / 21 GBP (with todays currency), its tight.

 This is what I bought.

I have been wanting Exotic Encounters since I saw the first swatch of it. And finally its here! YaY.
And look, I got Northern Lights (*sqeel*), and China Glaze - Luxe and Lush (!!), and my first Color Club polish, Alter Ego.
Lets take a look at some bottleshots.

I am really looking forward to try this one out.
Next up is Alter Ego- Color Club.
At the website it looked dark and grey/black- ish, but look at this!

Next is Exotic Encounters. Ever seen I saw the first swatches of the Safari - collection, I knew I had to have this babe. I dont really care for the rest of the collection, this I NEEDED. *giggles*

Woohoo! This polish was the only reason why I choose Nailsupplies. Finally, I have it.

And there was more in my mail today. Another package.

Pretty cool, right?

And that was the end of that fun. Be sure to check in tomorrow, for a new post. Hubby is getting visitors over, so I will have my nail corner for myself, and I have some ideas on what do to.
